Jonas Brothers concert news not good for local fans

Jonas Brothers won't be making an October tour stop in Charlotte afterall.
The band announced last week a new world tour schedule that now includes additional shows in Latin America and Europe, as well as second shows in other U.S. markets.
But Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, who are touring with Demi Lovato and others, have canceled an Oct. 16 show in Raleigh and Oct. 17 stop in Charlotte. A release states the band will try to return to the markets where shows have been canceled in the near future.
The Jonas Brothers Live In Concert tour will now launch in Chicago on Aug. 7, according to a release. The new Jonas Brothers Live In Concert schedule is below. Check www.livenation.com and www.teamjonas.com for further tour news.
The trio's father, Kevin Sr., grew up in the Belmont area and graduated from South Point High School.

Jonas Brothers Talk Breakup Rumors & New Tour

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Music’s hottest sibling trio, The Jonas Brothers, told Access Hollywood that rumors of their breakup are false – in fact, the JoBros are gearing up for a new tour.
“No, it’s not [true],” middle brother Joe Jonas told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush backstage at the 2010 Grammy Awards on Sunday in LA when asked about a rumored split. “We are still playing music together.”

Joe even promised their fans an upcoming tour.

“We’re planning a big tour, so getting ready for that,” he told Access.
And eldest brother Kevin Jonas, who recently wed, said his new wife, Danielle, is already part of the Jonas clan.

“I’m loving it,” Kevin said. “Its amazing… being married young is an amazing thing.”
Kevin said that his new wife even feels comfortable touring with the guys.

“She’s just as much a part of this family now as me,” Kevin explained. “It’s a great journey together.”

Jonas Brothers: Tapped for Stevie Wonder's House Full of Toys

Special guest at Stevie Wonder's will be Jonas Brothers annual benefit concert House Full of Toys on December 12 this year. The gig will be held at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Its tickets are going on sale starting from Sunday, November 1 to this coming Thursday, November 5. A yearly celebration, House Full of Toys is held by Stevie Wonder to invite concertgoers to bring an unwrapped gift of joy. The toys will then be donated to children, families and organizations in need. In addition to Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, other musical acts are yet to be announced. Previous performers at the event included Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, Maroon 5, Babyface, Joss Stone, Kanye West, India.Arie, Raphael Saadiq, Brian McKnight and many more.

Jonas Brothers Play Kickball In Norwich

After a concert of weekend and screaming fans at Mohegan Sun, the Jonas Brothers headed to Dodd Stadium in Norwich Sunday for a couple of kickball games in front of about 5,000 more screaming (of course) fans. But before they took the field, the pop rock trio Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and NickJonas were basking in a change kind of glow, one from giving. Earlier in the day, their different for the Children Foundation had handed out $1 million nationwide, a portion of which went to several Connecticut nonprofits."It was never expected of us; we just come from a family that believes in it," said Kevin about the donation."That is the way we were raised," chimed in Joe. "You give when you can."Sunday's "Kickball for a Change" event featured players from the Connecticut chapters of different organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Special Olympics and United Way, who played with the Jonas' "Kickballers" team. Tickets for the private event were handed out to fans through local charities and nonprofit organizations."This is actually a recess from the tour," said Nick Jonas about the event, designed to bring sentience to the variety of nonprofits and charities featured during the day, including the Verizon Wireless "Hopeline" program, which supports victims of domestic abuse.Looking on was proud father Kevin Jonas. "You should have seen them when they handed over that money this morning," he said. "I don't think they could have been prouder."
