SICK NICK FORCES JONAS BROTHERS TO CANCEL SWISS SHOW

THE JONAS BROTHERS were forced to scrap a gig in Zurich, Switzerland on Saturday night (07Nov09) after youngest sibling NICK was struck down with a respiratory infection. The pop trio had made their way to the Swiss city after a fulfilling presenter duties at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin, Germany on Thursday (05Nov09). But the band had to let fans down after Nick caught a nasty illness - the first time they have ever cancelled a gig due to being unwell. A statement from the group says, "Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is ill with an upper respiratory infection of the nose and throat and the doctor has advised that he not speak or sing. This is the first time that the Jonas Brothers have ever cancelled a show for sickness and deeply regret that they will not be able to perform." The pop sensations promised their fans a full refund.

Jonas Brothers: Tapped for Stevie Wonder's House Full of Toys

Special guest at Stevie Wonder's will be Jonas Brothers annual benefit concert House Full of Toys on December 12 this year. The gig will be held at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Its tickets are going on sale starting from Sunday, November 1 to this coming Thursday, November 5. A yearly celebration, House Full of Toys is held by Stevie Wonder to invite concertgoers to bring an unwrapped gift of joy. The toys will then be donated to children, families and organizations in need. In addition to Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, other musical acts are yet to be announced. Parade Magazine released quotes from its upcoming weekend issue today, among them Mrs. Jonas, spills the beans on Nick’s new gig. “Nick is working on a solo act—it’s called Nick Jonas and The Administration. Shhh! He’s at the photo shoot for the album cover right now,” Denise Jonas gabbed.
In response, the Jonas Brothers Web site confirmed that they do support their brother, and that no, the band is not breaking up. “We are ALL excited about this project AND what we are doing TOGETHER! We plan to make music together for as long as we can,” Joe, Nick and Kevin blogged on their site.
The Disney sponsored brother band made their acting debut on Hannah Montana, and several stars from Disney shows and movies have gone on to be megastars, including Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus and Ashley Tisdale. But, the brothers better watch out: it seems growing up Disney means growing up a little faster.
Several Disney stars have gone on to lead out-of-control lives, including Spears and Lohan. While Tisdale admitted to a nose job to fix a deviated septum, Lohan is speculated to have had breast augmentation and multiple lip injections.
Brittney also may have indulged in both procedures, and has complained about her post-baby body, with a friend telling in InTouch Weekly that she wanted liposuction on her thighs, which she considered “too fat.”
But, unlike these stars, Nick has his brothers to share the spotlight and keep any wild behavior in check.

The Jonas Brothers fans couldn't get enough of the sibling trio after their show in the Dominican Republic on Sunday (25Oct09) - more than 300 fans descended on the band's hotel in the hope of meeting their idols.
The brothers took to the stage at the Sanchez Olympic Stadium as part of their world tour.
Their performance was so impressive, fans couldn't tear themselves away and followed the group back to its hotel.
But things got out of control as hundreds of devotees rushed the Hilton Santo Domingo's entrance, and tried to make their way to the boys' suite before they were escorted out by security, according to RadarOnline.com.
A source tells the website, "The girls were freaking out! Some of the girls were trying to sneak in. I saw several of them get kicked out by security."

In Connecticut a JONAS BROTHERS concert almost turned X rated for young fans after hearthrob JOE JONAS suffered a wardrobe malfunction onstage.
The 20 year old was left red faced when a button holding his pants together popped out midway through the band's performance at the Mohegan Sun Casino on 9 October (09). Things went from bad to worse when his fly unravelled, forcing him to hold his trousers up with one hand and croon into his mic with the other.A stagehand finally spared his blushes by handing him a clip to keep his costume intact.A source tells Star magazine, 'He scurried over to the side of the stage and someone handed him a paperclip. He looped in through the buttonhole and stitched up the fly onstage while (bandmates and brothers) Nick and Kevin distracted the crowd.'

Jonas Brothers Play Kickball In Norwich

After a concert of weekend and screaming fans at Mohegan Sun, the Jonas Brothers headed to Dodd Stadium in Norwich Sunday for a couple of kickball games in front of about 5,000 more screaming (of course) fans. But before they took the field, the pop rock trio Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and NickJonas were basking in a change kind of glow, one from giving. Earlier in the day, their different for the Children Foundation had handed out $1 million nationwide, a portion of which went to several Connecticut nonprofits."It was never expected of us; we just come from a family that believes in it," said Kevin about the donation."That is the way we were raised," chimed in Joe. "You give when you can."Sunday's "Kickball for a Change" event featured players from the Connecticut chapters of different organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Special Olympics and United Way, who played with the Jonas' "Kickballers" team. It is the second wax replica made for them after the Madame Tussauds in Washington D.C. debuted a set last year. Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas' wax figures are seen posing with guitars on their hands. As for Joe Jonas' wax work, it is seen holding a microphone. The threesome's cost a total of waz figure is $1 million to produce and feature actual clothes worn/donated by the boys, according to MTV. Reveals Details On Kevin's Jonas Wedding

The eldest Jonas Brother may be getting married to Danielle Deleasa by the end of the year.

It seems like wedding alarms might be ringing for Kevin Jonas and his fiancée, Danielle Deleasa, by the end of the year. Well, at least that's what little brother Nick thinks.
"They have not set a date yet, but I think that it'll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year something like that," Nick said in an interview with ABC News radio earlier this week.
In an interview on Monday, Nick also revealed that it still hasn't been certain which of the Jonas brothers will be Kevin's best man at the winter nuptials. "We've talked about it a little bit," Nick said. "He's working it all out, but we'll see what happens."
Although his best man fate is still up in the air, Nick couldn't be more excited to add Deleasa to the Jonas family. "I'm happy for them and we love her," he said. "And we're happy to have her as piece of the family."
Back in July, Kevin told MTV News that he and his fiancée had yet to set a date for their wedding, but that things were going well for the group. "It's going great," Kevin said. "No date yet me and Dani are just working everything out and figuring everything out. We're having a nice time."
"We're happy for him," Joe said to MTV News, adding in a later radio interview that he was vying for the physical place of best man. "I need it. I'll be the best best man ever. After all if I get married, (the best man is) gonna be Nick, and when it's Nick, (the best man is) gonna be Frankie."

While diabetes was the main topic, he revealed other things, too, which got some shrieks of delight from the packed audience: He's single, he would date a fan, and while meeting President Obama was "an honor," he'd rather have dinner with fellow musician Elvis Costello.

Editor - We are writing in response to Aidin Vaziri's music academic of the Jonas Brothers' agreement at the HP Pavilion in San Jose ("Brotherly love running thin when it comes to fans," last Wednesday).
The first line of the article states, "Time is running out for the Jonas Brothers." We don't think this is a fair or actual statement. Time is not running out for the Jonas Brothers, just their career with Disney. Just because some of their Disney projects such as "Jonas" or "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience" didn't do as well as predicted doesn't mean their career is over. In our opinion, the Jonas Brothers are young and exciting artists in their own right, and they're now producing music for other artists.

According to the article, the Jonas Brothers' show in San Jose was "lackluster" and their music "terminally chaste." We would like to point out their world tour sold over 800,000 tickets in the first week and has sold over 1 million worldwide. Their latest album, 'Lines, Vines, and Trying Times," arched at No. 1 on Billboard 200. apparently, over a million people don't think their music is lackluster in any way.
And in a world where so many songs are about drugs, alcohol and sex, is it really such a bad thing to have chaste, PG-rated music?
The article also stated, "Boy-band sell-by dates are never damaged in decades." This may be true for boy bands, but the Jonas Brothers are not a boy band in the usual sense of the term. A boy band adduce to four to five members who do choreographed dance moves, don't play instruments and generally don't write their own songs. The Jonas Brothers, however, consist of three members who write their own songs, play their own instruments, and don't perform choreographed dance moves. According to the July issue of Rolling Stone, the Jonas Brothers call the shots on their world tour. Kevin Jonas said, "We have an operation around us that we run. It's not run for us or dictated to us. Everything we do we sign off on." As you can see, the only coincidense between the Jonas Brothers and a boy band is that they're all boys. You wouldn't demand the Rolling Stones or AC/DC boy bands, would you?

The article also notes abundant times that the Jonas Brothers seemed tired. We think anyone on a world tour would be tired. In the June issue of Seventeen, Joe Jonas said, "We're doing this because we love it." When asked what he loves about being a rock star, Nick Jonas said, "I think hearing people's stories of how our music has helped them. ... It makes the early mornings and late nights worthwhile." The Jonas Brothers were also accountability in the article for spraying foam on the audience with "just a little too much enthusiasm." Maybe they just really love what they do. We personally felt the concerts in the Bay Area last week were amazing, and we look forward to following the Jonas Brothers' careers as they grow and evolve as artists.

An American pop boy group Jonas Brothers achieved its popularity from the Disney Channel children's television network. From Wyckoff, New Jersey, the band composed of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. The group has launched four albums: It's About Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times. In 2008, the group was listed for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. To this date they have sold over eight million albums globally.
