Burnham, a trio of siblings from Vermont who specialize in hooky pop rock, in a long line tare following hat includes the likes of Hanson and the Jonas Brothers. The comparisons between the three Burnhams Alex, Andre and Forrest and their brotherly predecessors are inevitable. But are they fair?
"I see ourselves in the way that we're all brothers, obviously. We get that comparison. The Jonas Brothers, of course, are really amazing," Andre Burnham told MTV News.
"A lot of our influences musically, we were always listening to classic music like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, all the kinds of classic stuff that our dad brought to the table cause he's old school," Andre continued. "But we also love a lot of the contemporary artists like Coldplay, OneRepublic, Killers, (and) Kings of Leon."
In September, the guys will hit the road as one of the opening acts on pop sensation Justin Bieber's My World Tour. Jonas Brothers good news couldn't hope to make a more compelling case for themselves as a songwriting force than the soundtrack to their currently re titled Disney Channel series.
The bad news is they've made that case by not playing in the writing a big enough role, relying far too much on outside hacks to phone in tracks as toothless as "Feelin' Alive" and the hip hop flavored "Chillin' in the Summertime," which could pass for a Sugar Ray outtake if they'd tried a little harder.
The Overextended Brothers do contribute to a few songs. Nick for example, was one of five writers it took to crank out "L.A. Baby (Where Dreams are Made of)," one of the few tracks that really sound like it could be a Jonas Brothers song, if not one of their better ones.
But all three brothers took part in the writing of "Your Biggest Fan," a corny bid at sounding R&B that makes you wonder how no one involved in the process noticed how silly or, at best, unnatural it sounds for a Jo Bro to call a girl "Shawty." Even Justin Bieber sounds less like a White kid playing dress up.
The stand out there songs. "L.A. Baby" and "Hey You" are kind of infectious, delivered with plenty of Jonas-y spunk, and "Critical" does the Coldplay thing with style, making the most of a vulnerable vocal from Nick. But for the most part, they sound like they need to be taken aside and told that when they put their name on something, they should care as much about that product as a proper Jonas Brothers album.

The Jonas Brothers almost always have new projects going on; it is almost hard to keep up! I think the show should be fun to watch, but I wonder how well it will turn out since they seem to be doing so much. I suppose we will have to wait until the 27th to look just how it turned out. I just hope that it will not be a disappointment.

At Arthur Ashe Kids' Day the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato will be performing on August 28 along with Allstar Weekend, School Gyrls and Alexis Jordan. At the annual pre U.S this is the third time the Jo Bros have appeared. Open event in Flushing, N.Y., which is designed to group the best in tennis with some of the hottest stars in music. Cambio correspondent Quddus will be hosting the festival along with Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon, so we're guessing that there will be plenty of must look event footage on the Cambio site that week. And, after interviewing Allstar Weekend and hanging out with the School Gyrls, we're psyched that they're part of all the action, too.
Although fans will be excited to see their favorite musicians perform that day, they'll also be treated to matches and contests involving tennis stars Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic and Kim Clijsters. Jonas Brothers's fan, it was going to be a big day. The big day being Thursday, Sept. 30 and that’s when the trio of brothers would be making their way back to Arkansas and North Little Rock’s Verizon Arena. The Jonas Brothers canceled their show on Tuesday but North Little Rock was far from the only one city impacted by the decision. From the shining Pacific Coast to New Orleans’ oily sheen and on east to North Carolina, a total of 11 Jonas Brothers concerts were either canceled or moved. The cities included large markets like Atlanta, Orlando and Nashville to smaller locales like Irvine and Concord in California.
Demi Lovato was set to join the Jonas Brothers for the show in North Little Rock and tickets ranged from $39.25 to $92.25. A single high end ticket, packaged as a “VIP” particular, was set to go for $250.A press release from the concert promoters said, “the Jonas Brothers remain committed to their fans and will look to return to North Little Rock as soon as possible,” but no return date was given. Promoters said the concert dates were shuffled to allow for additional Jonas Brothers shows in Latin America and Europe.

Tickets purchased for the North Little Rock show will be refunded at where they were purchased.

Jonas Brothers won't be making an October tour stop in Charlotte afterall.
The band announced last week a new world tour schedule that now includes additional shows in Latin America and Europe, as well as second shows in other U.S. markets.
But Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, who are touring with Demi Lovato and others, have canceled an Oct. 16 show in Raleigh and Oct. 17 stop in Charlotte. A release states the band will try to return to the markets where shows have been canceled in the near future.

AOL's salesman-in-chief, CEO Tim Armstrong, has something of a pretty boy reputation in the industry.
So may be it's no surprise who he's turned to for help launching first new content brand AOL's since he took over in 2009: in show business the prettiest of the pretty boys, the Jonas Brothers!
AOL, brand strategy MGX Labs, and the Jonas Group are launching a site called Cambio.com, according to a friendly writeup of the project in the New York Times.
Cambio will feature lots of Web TV programs starring (real and wannabe) teen and tween celebs. There will be some user submitted content. Many of the shows will be produced by freelancers AOL reaches through StudioNow.
The site is the one of the big new content brands Tim hopes will turn around the companies fortunes. (AOL media boss David Eun calls it a "start-around.) There's also hope that Patch, AOL's network of local news blogs could someday turn into a real business.
There seems to be some enthusiasm for the brand. On Cambio's YouTube page, one commenter writes, "love love love love love everyone who is apart of this." Another, addressing the heart-throbbiest Jonas Brother, Joe Jonas, writes:

The 21 year old Disney star is set to wed girlfriend Danielle Deleasa and told People he needs both of his brothers to be part of the wedding party.
Kevin said: "I decided that it's going to be both Joe and Nick Dani has an older and a younger sister, so it works out actually well, I can have two best men, and she can have two maids of honour."
Kevin's decision means Joe, 19, and Nick, 17, will be throwing his stag do - but he needn't worry, as they've insisted it will be "good, clean fun".
Joe said: "It won't be in Vegas. Vegas is not actually the ideal place. We are thinking somewhere even cooler and better."

band has surely grown up from its Disney boy band image. Laced with fuzzed up guitars, harmonies and candy choruses, the trio dabbles in R&B too in tracks such as Burning Up and Love Bug. The eldest Jonas Brother may be getting married to Danielle Deleasa by the end of the year.

It seems like wedding alarms might be ringing for Kevin Jonas and his fiancée, Danielle Deleasa, by the end of the year. Well, at least that's what little brother Nick thinks.
"They have not set a date yet, but I think that it'll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year something like that," Nick said in an interview with ABC News radio earlier this week.
In an interview on Monday, Nick also revealed that it still hasn't been certain which of the Jonas brothers will be Kevin's best man at the winter nuptials. "We've talked about it a little bit," Nick said. "He's working it all out, but we'll see what happens."
Although his best man fate is still up in the air, Nick couldn't be more excited to add Deleasa to the Jonas family. "I'm happy for them and we love her," he said. "And we're happy to have her as piece of the family."
Back in July, Kevin told MTV News that he and his fiancée had yet to set a date for their wedding, but that things were going well for the group. "It's going great," Kevin said. "No date yet me and Dani are just working everything out and figuring everything out. We're having a nice time."
"We're happy for him," Joe said to MTV News, adding in a later radio interview that he was vying for the physical place of best man. "I need it. I'll be the best best man ever. After all if I get married, (the best man is) gonna be Nick, and when it's Nick, (the best man is) gonna be Frankie."

Then, Nick Jonas was invited in June to testify before Congress on type 1 diabetes alongside performer Mary Tyler Moore, a longtime advocate for people with juvenile diabetes. "I was a little nervous when I spoke," he admitted. "But it was wonderful to see that it went over well." He retuned today as one of the youngest speakers ever to talk from the Press Club podium and again described what it's like to live with type 1 diabetes to the mostly young crowd. While diabetes was the main topic, he revealed other things, too, which got some shrieks of delight from the packed audience: He's single, he would date a fan, and while meeting President Obama was "an honor," he'd rather have dinner with fellow musician Elvis Costello.

Editor - We are writing in response to Aidin Vaziri's music academic of the Jonas Brothers' agreement at the HP Pavilion in San Jose ("Brotherly love running thin when it comes to fans," last Wednesday).
The first line of the article states, "Time is running out for the Jonas Brothers." We don't think this is a fair or actual statement. Time is not running out for the Jonas Brothers, just their career with Disney. Just because some of their Disney projects such as "Jonas" or "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience" didn't do as well as predicted doesn't mean their career is over. In our opinion, the Jonas Brothers are young and exciting artists in their own right, and they're now producing music for other artists.

According to the article, the Jonas Brothers' show in San Jose was "lackluster" and their music "terminally chaste." We would like to point out their world tour sold over 800,000 tickets in the first week and has sold over 1 million worldwide. Their latest album, 'Lines, Vines, and Trying Times," arched at No. 1 on Billboard 200. apparently, over a million people don't think their music is lackluster in any way.
And in a world where so many songs are about drugs, alcohol and sex, is it really such a bad thing to have chaste, PG-rated music?
The article also stated, "Boy-band sell-by dates are never damaged in decades." This may be true for boy bands, but the Jonas Brothers are not a boy band in the usual sense of the term. A boy band adduce to four to five members who do choreographed dance moves, don't play instruments and generally don't write their own songs. The Jonas Brothers, however, consist of three members who write their own songs, play their own instruments, and don't perform choreographed dance moves. According to the July issue of Rolling Stone, the Jonas Brothers call the shots on their world tour. Kevin Jonas said, "We have an operation around us that we run. It's not run for us or dictated to us. Everything we do we sign off on." As you can see, the only coincidense between the Jonas Brothers and a boy band is that they're all boys. You wouldn't demand the Rolling Stones or AC/DC boy bands, would you?

The article also notes abundant times that the Jonas Brothers seemed tired. We think anyone on a world tour would be tired. In the June issue of Seventeen, Joe Jonas said, "We're doing this because we love it." When asked what he loves about being a rock star, Nick Jonas said, "I think hearing people's stories of how our music has helped them. ... It makes the early mornings and late nights worthwhile." The Jonas Brothers were also accountability in the article for spraying foam on the audience with "just a little too much enthusiasm." Maybe they just really love what they do. We personally felt the concerts in the Bay Area last week were amazing, and we look forward to following the Jonas Brothers' careers as they grow and evolve as artists.
